		<description>Carl, I'm sure Hornby's criticism isn't exactly the subject of this discussion -- and that you don't want anything too contentious. But I wonder if you might raise Hornby's infamous New Yorker piece "Pop Quiz," in which he listened to the Billboard Top 10 and concluded the barbarians had taken over.

I'd be curious if he stands by that piece, has any awareness of/feelings about the rockist/poptimist discourse, etc. This seems like a natural topic, given the questions treated in your own book.
