If You Were Thinking of Studying
Aesthetic Philosophy

January 11th, 2010

… you don’t have to any more, now that you’ve got Douglas Wolk’s 5-Minute Guide to Kant’s Critique of Aesthetic Judgment (as interpreted through images from Marvel Comics). hi carl.
it might help people to understand why he used wolverine and marvel comics:
douglas is a prolific, genius critic of graphic novels for the nytimes and salon.
and his book ‘reading comics’, won an eisner award.

None of this changes the fact that Kant is 100% wrong. Philosophically, scientifically, hell, even by virtue of his writing, aesthetically.

  5. zoilus says:

  6. Matt Collins says:

I would say that “wrong is wrong”, Carl, but I think that would fall into some trapping of Kantian logic.
