Warum Lauft Herr H. Amok?

Peli posts a chunk of correspondence betwixt the likes of him and the likes of me on the case of Werner Herzog as premature YouTube-teur. (All credit due Margaux Williamson.) I am wordy there, so I will be terse here.

Advance riposte from Hotsy & Totsy.

Meanwhile back at the simulacrum, Baudrillard is dead.

I think the kids don't read JB anymore because media nowadays tends to make its own theory of itself. But I will miss his aphoristic wit, his sentences that slowed to a crawl and then jumped ahead at light speed. I'm still catching up to some of those sentences.

Thanks...for the props…and the criticism. I save my best hermetic jokes for when I'm getting 10 percent-a-copy.

I'm sure people still read JB, but no, not "the kids" anymore. "The kids" have moved on, as they do, to the next elusive euro-nihilist.

And hopefully people still read JB's great, early works, like Mirror of Production. JB was hitting it then.

Hey BJD, immediately after hearing about good old Baudy I thought about the diet thing from your book with the pool of offal. That was my favourite part of your book and so I'm terrifically disappointed by the joke above. Does anyone read Baudrillard still?

Jean Baudrillard did not die.
