Village Voice Debacle Continues

Wow. I mean, we knew it might happen. But wow.
So, who wants to hire Robert Christgau?
Friday add: See New York Times story. Question now: If there's a Pazz & Jop poll this year, does it get boycotted? (And if ILM doesn't come back from the dead, how would we organize that?)

As someone who is a long time fan of the Dean (probably my fave music critic to dissagree with) I find these events very sad. I dont think he will be unemployed for long. Will his Ego emerge intact?

Isn't the Globe hiring autumn music writers from the US these days? I can't imagine the Dean will be hard up for a job. Maybe Columbia, or New School will hire him as a prof. I hope he doesn't decide to focus on a book project. Love the man, but not in book form.

Not to mention the Voice's brilliant books editor, Ed Park. I'm never reading that rag again.
